Questions about care? We have the answers.
- WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF ROSENBERG'S IDP®?
Rosenberg’s artisanal guidance, provided through our Individual Development Plan (IDP)®, ensures that each student receives the education that is most suited for their strengths and ambitions. The individual design of each IDP® is closely monitored, ensuring students plan ahead and have access to all the expertise and support they need to excel.. Our experience shows that IDP® encourages students to reflect on their goals and achievement while growing in self-awareness and building a sense of ownership for their education.
- WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD FEELS SICK AT BOARDING SCHOOL?
Any time a student feels unwell at Rosenberg, they inform their house tutor and the school’s health coordinator, who liaises with our dedicated school doctor. We will arrange for students to see the doctor in most cases, even with minor symptoms, because we value a professional opinion. After all, we are the Artisans of Education®, not of Medical Care. For more serious illnesses, we rely on a network of specialists. With all major regional hospitals just a few minute’s drive away, Rosenberg students receive the best health care the area offers.
- WHAT IS THE BEST AGE TO JOIN BOARDING SCHOOL?
The ideal age to join boarding school depends on the individual child but, generally speaking, the more time students spend at Rosenberg, the more we can achieve together. We have boarding students joining our primary school who take to Rosenberg like a fish to water after only a few hours at school. At the same time, we have middle school students that need a few more days to adjust to their new environment. Overall, based on our experience, students of all ages tend to adjust to our boarding lifestyle surprisingly quickly.
- WHAT HAPPENS ON WEEKENDS AT BOARDING SCHOOL?
At Institut auf dem Rosenberg, we offer a wide range of fun-packed weekend activities and excursions. Programmes include popular options such as paintball, sight-seeing in Switzerland, or our husky dog-sledge experience. On dedicated community weekends our students come together to collaborate on school-wide projects in areas such as philanthropy and sustainability. In addition, our students can sign-up for Talent & Enrichment weekend trips, offered a few times per school year, and visit places like Rome, London or Paris.
- DOES ROSENBERG HAVE A SCHOOL UNIFORM?
Institut auf dem Rosenberg does not have a school uniform but a dress-code. From Monday to Friday, during breakfast and lunch, as well as during all academic lessons, our “formal dress” code applies. During this time, our boys wear suits and girls wear elegant trousers, skirts or dresses. At all other times during the week, including at dinners or weekends, our students wear “smart casual,” which entails the options to wear sneakers and polo-shirts.
